According to Amac News: It is said that the new technology identifies legionella lung bacteria from acute respiratory infection bacteria.
According to this center, this method is accurate in identifying live colonies of this type of bacteria and shows the test results in specific concentrations of the sample and calculates the number of bacteria up to 99% with little accuracy.
Mahmoud Ahmed, director of the Dubai Central Laboratory Department, said: "This method for the detection of Legionella pneumonia is one of the latest methods approved worldwide by the European Water Testing Network. It also has an official certificate from AOAC International.
The head of the Dubai Central Laboratory Department said that more than 100,000 tests are performed annually by microbiological analysis laboratories on all types of food, environmental water and consumer products (ISO/IEC 17025:2017).
With a focus on consumer health and safety, the new technology supports a framework of microbiological testing to ensure that there is no spoilage microbial growth or disease transmitted through various commodities and products.
The central laboratory system of Dubai has several specialized laboratories, which include chemical analysis laboratory, microbiological analysis, infrastructure and construction materials laboratories, metrology and electromechanical devices.
Food, health, industry, environment, and several governmental and academic institutions and institutions benefit from laboratory tests based on an integrated technology system that includes nearly 5,000 systems and technology devices.
