Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, launched the Rabdan Security and Defense Institute (RSDI), a specialized think tank focusing on security and defense studies, at the ISNR 2024 conference.

As a strategic think tank, RSDI will provide analysis, research and recommendations to policymakers on defense and security issues related to the Middle East.
The purpose of establishing this center is to deepen the understanding of regional security dynamics, to identify potential threats, opportunities and challenges.
RSDI covers several strategic research areas, including threat assessment, geopolitics, energy security, human security, conflict resolution, military capability development, defense technology, defense industry and innovation, regional security cooperation, military-civilian relations, terrorism and extremism, the border. will prioritize.
RSDI will conduct detailed research on security and defense challenges from a Middle East perspective, organize seminars, workshops, conferences, and publish expert analysis and commentary.
The launch of RSDI took place during the ISNR 2024 conference jointly organized by the Ministry of Interior and Rabdan Academy at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
