Lana Zaki Nussibeh, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates for Political Affairs, met with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, in Geneva.
According to Amac News: Nussibeh and Turk talked about the vital interplay between human rights, peace and prosperity in the Middle East and globally.
In this meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen the long-standing cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the United Nations Human Rights Office, and it was emphasized to deepen cooperation to pursue common priorities and effectively address global human rights challenges.
Nussibeh emphasized the UAE's commitment to promoting human rights as a cornerstone for achieving peace and sustainable development around the world.
