The Council of Muslim Elders has announced that it has participated in the World Peace Leadership Conference in Nairobi, Kenya.
According to Amac News Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam, Secretary General of the Council of Muslim Elders, emphasized the importance of deepening the connection between African values and economic development strategies.
He noted that one of the main goals of the Council of Muslim Elders is to cooperate with various institutions and organizations in the world and Africa, including civil society actors, political leaders, and religious figures.
He also called for intensifying efforts to find solutions that help spread and promote the culture of dialogue, values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among different nations and peoples, along with other measures that increase peace and stability around the world.
The Global Peace Leadership Conference in Nairobi focused on engaging policymakers, educators, religious leaders, government officials and all stakeholders to explore ways to promote Africa's renaissance using the continent's unique heritage, spirituality and traditional values.
The conference discussed mechanisms to strengthen cooperation and constructive partnership across continents, strengthen the concept of global ethical citizenship and support efforts to build peace and sustainable development.
