The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum of Afghanistan has announced the contract for drilling two oil wells in Yatimtaq area of Jawzjan Province worth more than 7 million dollars by publishing a newsletter.
According to Amac News: The ministry said that during the contract for drilling two oil wells in Yatimtaq Shaberghan area of Jawzjan province, it said in a press conference that this contract was signed with the Turkish company "Safir Drilling Services".
The news report states that the total value of this contract is 7.5 million dollars and the drilling works of these wells will begin with a depth of 1,650 meters and will be completed within a year, after which 300,000 cubic meters of gas will be extracted from these wells daily.
Shahabuddin Delawar, Acting Minister of Mines of Afghanistan, stated that the growth of industries and mines lays the groundwork for the growth of economic sectors in the country, and that the caretaker government supports the country's industry and domestic production in every sense.
He emphasized that tenders for the country's mines are done in a transparent manner and transparency has been established in all fields and special attention has been paid to the management of the country's natural resources.
He asked national businessmen and investors to take advantage of the opportunity in the fields of investment and business in Afghanistan and invest in the oil and gas mining sector and create standard refineries for crude oil processing in the country.
Humayun Afghan, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum of Afghanistan, added that the value of this contract is 7.5 million dollars and the drilling of these two oil wells will be done by the winning company with domestic and Turkish engineers in the mentioned area.
He stated that gas wells are currently active in different areas of Jawzjan province and more than 600 thousand cubic meters are extracted daily.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum says that with the activation of these two wells, gas extraction in this province will reach about one million cubic meters per day.
