The Satgate project seeks to create a database of ships bound for UAE ports, helping to keep maritime facilities and beaches safe by tracking the location of ships that are not connected to tracking devices.
Satgate is a transformational project that is part of the 2023-2024 Performance Agreements aimed at implementing national priorities and achieving the requirements of the next phase of development in the UAE.
Sohail Mohammad Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, emphasized the importance of this project in creating maritime security, improving the competitiveness of the national maritime sector and attracting international investors.
