According to Amac News: The report of the UAE Media Council states that this significant influx emphasizes the continuous growth of the publishing sector, which is aided by efficient government processes and efficient digital services of the Council.
During this period, the council issued more than 46,000 business licenses in multiple languages, according to the report.
It is also emphasized in the report that more than 1570 printing licenses have been granted for domestic Arabic and foreign publications, which shows a 16% growth compared to last year.
The achievements of the UAE Media Council reflect the vibrant acceleration of intellectual and knowledge production in the UAE. They also demonstrate the ability of media institutions to effectively organize major events and book fairs.
In addition, the availability of world-class media facilities and infrastructure increases the country's attractiveness and actively supports TV and film productions.
The UAE Media Council licensed 339 films to screen in cinemas, representing a 7% increase over last year and a total audience of over 6 million.
The council has authorized the release of 73 electronic games in cooperation with game companies, ensuring that they receive the appropriate age classification based on the UAE's approved age rating system.
The council granted a total of 670 media licenses for radio and television broadcasting, as well as for newspapers and magazines. In addition, 230 licenses were issued to content producers for advertising on social media, and the council conducted more than 3,250 inspection visits to media establishments across the country.
