The Ministry of Culture of the United Arab Emirates has announced that it has participated in the 9th meeting of the BRICS Ministers of Culture held in St. Petersburg.

According to Amac News: In the announcement, this meeting was held under the title "Strengthening multilateralism for development and just global security".
According to the announcement, the ministry said that Salem Al Qassimi headed the UAE delegation and this meeting led to the approval of the joint statement of the ministers of culture of the BRICS member countries.
In this meeting, Al Qassimi emphasized the vital role of multilateralism and the growing need for cooperation and joint work in dealing with global challenges.
He stressed the importance of expanding the JCPOA and emphasized the commitment of the United Arab Emirates to strengthening multilateralism and strengthening integrated measures for a safe, secure and stable world.
Sheikh Salem Al Qasimi highlighted culture as a valuable resource for socio-economic growth and climate action.
He further stated: "Culture and creative industries play a vital role in strengthening innovation, entrepreneurship, economic growth and job creation, and at the same time, they act as a key driver in exporting a nation's culture and values ​​to the world."
Sheikh Salem added that through joint efforts, the world can address the challenges of tomorrow.
The UAE previously led a resolution to consolidate measures to protect the cultural and creative ecosystem, which was approved by UNESCO's Executive Board in 2021.
This decision emphasized the importance of strengthening efforts to nurture and protect the cultural and creative ecosystem and development.
