According To Amac News: The agreement worth about $1 billion was signed between the ministry and the Uzbek company, the Ministry of Mines said in a statement.
According to the agreement, the contractor will invest $100 million in the first year and $1 billion over 10 years and generate 100 MW of electricity from the extracted gas in the first two years.
The Totei Maidan gas reserves in Faryab province cover an area of about 7,000 square kilometers.
