Amac News: The Pakistani newspaper The Nation reported on Wednesday, November 20, that Afghanistan imported sugar worth $91.69 million from Pakistan in the last four months of the current year.
The report noted that during the first four months of this year, Afghanistan imported sugar valued at $5.93 million from Pakistan.
This report comes at a time when the overall imports of Afghanistan from Pakistan in the past four months have shown a 2% increase.
It was mentioned that bilateral trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan reached $231 million in October, reflecting a 19% increase compared to the previous month; while trade between the two countries in November of this year was $194 million
The increase in the last four months compared to the first four months of this year is 29%.
According to the report, Afghanistan and Pakistan had a trade volume of $544.37 million in the first four months of the year, which rose to $703.15 million in the last four months (up to October).
