The Ministry of Finance of the Afghanistan interim government announced that 60 tankers of low-quality oil were returned to Iran and Turkmenistan last week.

According to Amac News: The tankers were returned to their countries of origin through Abu Nasr Farahi customs in Farah province and Turghandi customs in Herat province, the ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
According to the statement, 41 of the returned tankers belonged to Saha Safa Petroleum Company and were returned to the country of origin through Turghandi customs after quality assessment.
The Afghan government has repeatedly announced the return of low-quality oil tankers to Iran and Central Asian countries.
Iranian officials have also criticized the sending of oil tankers to their country, saying the govenment's assessment of oil quality does not meet any international standards.
