According to
Amac News: Based on the ministry's report published today, Sunday, January 5, Afghanistan's export this year was 1 billion 803 million dollars and its import was 10 billion 619 million dollars.
Akhundzadeh Abdul Salam Javad, the spokesman of the ministry, said that Afghanistan's exports this year with Pakistan and China have decreased compared to last year, but trade with Turkey and India has grown significantly.
He also added that Afghanistan's exports to four neighboring Arab countries including Iran, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates have doubled.
According to the announcement of this ministry, Afghanistan's main export products are dry and fresh fruits, saffron, medicinal plants, precious stones and handmade carpets.
Afghanistan's Ministry of Industry and Trade also announced that plans are underway to improve infrastructure, facilitate transit routes, and increase interaction with global markets.
