Flood destroyed more than 10 thousand houses in Afghanistan

According to Amac News: The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) published a report saying that these residential houses in Badakhshan, Takhar, Baghlan Ghor and Faryab provinces were damaged due to floods.
Based on this report, from May 10 to 11, as a result of floods in 21 districts of Badakhshan, Takhar and Baghlan provinces, 7,800 houses were completely destroyed or damaged and more than 5,000 families were displaced.
This organization said that more than 27 health and nutrition centers were destroyed and 62 schools were seriously damaged in Ghor province.
The United Nations Children's Fund has said that on May 17, when Faryab province also witnessed sudden floods, it affected 9 districts of this province, as a result of which 1,890 houses were partially and completely damaged.
Based on this report, as a result of these floods, 3 health centers and 23 schools have been partially and completely destroyed in this province.
UNICEF has highlighted that the recent floods have destroyed many water systems and families are struggling to get enough safe water for drinking, cooking and bathing.
In its report, this organization said that it provides water for 22 thousand people in the flooded parts of Afghanistan every day.
However, the United Nations World Food Program said in a newsletter yesterday that 80,000 people have been affected by the floods in Afghanistan in recent weeks.
According to the World Food Program, more floods have occurred in Afghanistan, and according to reports, in addition to human casualties, houses and roads have also been destroyed in Badakhshan.
